Overview
DoomLift is operated by Softotic. This Privacy Policy explains how DoomLift handles information when you use the Android application with package name com.softotic.doomlift.
DoomLift is designed to work without user signups in the current version. Most app settings and challenge progress are stored locally on your device.
Information DoomLift Uses
- Blocked app configuration: apps you choose to block, enabled activities, unlock duration, and challenge settings.
- AccessibilityService signals: Android AccessibilityService is used to detect when a selected blocked app opens in the foreground and to return you to DoomLift's challenge screen while blocking is active. DoomLift does not use AccessibilityService to read messages, passwords, typed text, contacts, or screen content, and does not record audio.
- Usage access signals: Android usage access may be used to estimate how long selected blocked apps are used so DoomLift can apply your configured unlock time.
- Camera input: camera access is used for pose-based activities such as pushups and squats. Camera frames are used for challenge verification and are not used for account creation.
- Motion and step signals: pedometer, activity recognition, or device motion sensors may be used for walking challenges and fallback step estimation.
- Wellness activity input: DoomLift may ask you to complete general wellness activities such as pushups, squats, planks, breathing resets, walking, timed breaks, journaling, reading, math puzzles, or water breaks. These are used only to unlock selected apps in DoomLift.
- Support email: if you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include in your email.
How Information Is Used
We use information to provide core DoomLift features: blocking selected apps, tracking challenge completion, granting scroll time, showing health and permission status, and responding to support requests.
DoomLift is intended for productivity and general wellness. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat health conditions, and should not be used as professional medical, fitness, nutrition, or mental health advice.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. DoomLift does not require an account in the current version. AccessibilityService data, camera frames, and local challenge activity are not sent to Softotic or third parties. Information may be shared only if required by law, to protect our rights, or with service providers needed to operate support and app distribution.
Data Storage
Challenge settings and app rules are primarily stored locally on your device. If you uninstall DoomLift, locally stored app data may be removed by Android. Emails sent to us may remain in our support mailbox unless you request deletion.
No Accounts
DoomLift currently does not include signup, login, or in-app user accounts. Because there are no DoomLift accounts, there is no account deletion process in the current version.
If you contact us by email, you can ask us to delete that email conversation by contacting doomlift@softotic.com.
